DONALD ELTON RITENOUR - MARIETTA, Ohio - Donald Elton Ritenour, 917 Garfield Ave., died Saturday morning (6-13-81)
in Marietta Memorial Hospital shortly after being admitted. He was 48. Mr. Ritenour was born August 24, 1932 in Forrestville,
PA to the late Archie and Mary Schell Ritenour. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and attended the Open Door Baptist
Church. He was a member of the Teamsters Union and was employed as a truck driver for P.E.P. Leasing Co. Surviving are
his wife, the former Lora June Johnson, whom he married Feb. 20, 1974; three sons Mark at home. Donnie in Charleston, WV,
and Eddie in Follansbee, W. Va.; two daughters Patti and Sue both of Follensbee, W. Va.; two step sons John Johnson, Camp
Lejeune, NC, and Steve Johnson, Marietta; three step-daughters Mrs.. Melody Erb, Marietta; Mrs. Teresa Tatolovich, Parkersburg,
W.Va., and Mrs. Peggy Marcinko, Tuppers Plains, Ohio; three sisters Ruth Kober, Slippery Rock; Dorothy Roher, Volant, PA and
Norma Fisher, Jackson Center, PA ; four grandchildren, and 6 step grandchildren. A brother died in infancy.

Staff Sergeant George J. Cordrey, Non-commissioned officer in charge of the Butler Marine Corp. Recruiting office has
received word that Marine Private First Class Donald E. Ritenour, son of Mrs. A. O, Ritenour, Slippery Rock, R.D. 4, has recently
elimaxed training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island. S.C.
In addition to being promoted to his present rank, he also won the silver badge of Marine Marksman.
Ritenour completed training in field tactics, precision drill, military courtesy, and Marine Corps. History.
He fired other infantry weapons in addition to the Grand Rifle which he qualified, and observed operation of the
machine gun mortar, and the flame thrower
