William A. (Albert) Bannon

William A. Bannon, 72, 610 E. Reynolds St., died today in the Jamison Hospital at 4:45 a.m. after a short illness.

He was born in New Castle, Dec. 19, 1885, the son of the late Albert and Anne Shell (Schell) Bannon and was married to the former Grace Grannis who preceded him in death in 1954.

He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in New Castle and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was employed by the city of New Castle until his illness.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Walter Bishop and Mrs. Della Davis both of New Castle and one niece.

Services have been arranged for Thursday at 2 p.m. from the DeCarbo Funeral Home, Cunningham Ave. at Lutton St. with Rev. Paul F. Ague of the Temple Baptist Church officiating.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Interment will be in Oak Park Cemetery.
