Walter J. Bishop

Walter J. Bishop, 84, of 214 n. Ray St. died at 4:40a.m. today in this home after a lingering illness.

He was born in Chicago, on Aug. 12, 1883 to the late Edward and Mary Sullivan Bishop. He was married to the former Clara Bannon and retired 23 years ago from the Grasselli Chemical Co. in New Castle. He formerly was employed at the New Castle Tin Mill.

Mr. Bishop was a member of St. Mary Church.

Surviving are: his wife and daughter Mrs. John (Margaret E.) Trakas of New Castle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 16 brothers and sisters.

Friends will be received at McGonigle’ s Memorial Home, 133 N. Beaver St. from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Tim of funeral service will be announced tomorrow.
