Mrs. Anna Bannon aged 65 widow of Albert Bannon, died at 4:25 o’clock this morning at her home 636 South Ray Street, after an illness from a complication of diseases which she had be combating for the past 12 years.

Mrs. Bannon had resided in New Castle for the past half century and was well known but had an exceptionally large number of friends.  She was married 50 years ago to Albert Bannon who preceded her in death 28 years ago. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Gilliland of Sharon and Mrs. Dora Keith of New Castle three years ago.

Born at Clarksville, Mercer County on October 11, 1868 she was the daughter of William and Emeline Schell. She was a Methodist by religious denomination.

Surviving are:  one son William A. Bannon at home; Mrs. Walter Bishop and Mrs. William C, Davis both of New Castle; once grandchild, Miss Margaret Bishop, of New Castle; one sister Mrs. Mary Hecker of Erie and three brothers, Henry Schell and Frank Schell of Sharpsville and Fred Schell of New Castle.

Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from the home of her daughter, Mrs. William C. Davis, 634 South Ray Street with Dr. C. B. Wingerd, pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church in charge. Interment will be made at Clarksville, Pa.
