Marine Corps veteran enjoyed hunting, fishing
A funeral service will be held Thursday for Gary L. Schell Sr. of 1717 Franklin Road, Jackson
Center.
He died at 7:05 a.m. Monday (12-25-2006) in his home after anextended illness. He was 54.
Mr. Schell was born
May 7, 1952, in Stoneboro to George E. and Jane Ringer Schell.
He attended Lakeview High School.
Mr. Schell was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Vietnam conflict.
He had worked for Stevenson Enviromental Services of Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Mr. Schell was a member of America Legion Post 919, Fairview Township, and enjoyed fishing
and hunting.
He is survived by: his compainion, Jill McClearn, at home; a daughter, Brandy Schell and her
fiance' Robert Hilliard, Greenville; a son Gary L. Schell Jr. and his companion, Melissa, Stoneboro; a stepson, Josh McClearn,
Jackson Center; a grandson Gary L. Schell lll, Stoneboro; his former Wife Carmel Womer, Greenville; his mother, Stoneboro;
five sisters, Carol A Saylor, Westford, Pa; Mrs. Donald (Linda) Cushing, Bulls Gap, Tenn.; Mrs. Gary (Kathy) Peterson, Fredonia;
Mrs. Larry (Debra) Beougher, Petros, Tenn; and Vicki Schell, Stoneboro; two brothers, George E. "Butch" Schell Jr., and his
wife Melodie, Fredonia; and Thomas E. Schell, and his wife Rhoda Stoneboro. He leaves several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Schell was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Donna Schell.

SERVICE: Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Thursday (12-28-2006) in the funeral home with the Rev.
Galen Joe MacDonald, pastor of Sandy Lake Presyterian Church, officiating.
INTERMENT: With committal service in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township, with military
honors by American Legion Post 919, Fairview Township.
