MASURY - Kenneth E. Schell Sr., 81, of Masury, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Sharon Regional Hospital, Sharon, Pa.

Kenneth was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Raymilton, Pa., a son of Dewey A. and Mary Goldie Dick Schell.

Kenneth worked for Sharon Tube Corp. He attended First Baptist Church, Sharon, Pa.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served as a paratrooper.

Survivors include his sons, Kenneth Jr. of Brookfield and Charles of Masury; daughters, Janice Jewell of Sharon, Pa., and June Rung of Hermitage, Pa.; his brother, Chuck Randall of Girard; a sister, Myrtle Williams of Cooper City, Fla.; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a stepgrandson; and two stepgreat-grandsons.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Alice M. Swogger Schell; his son, Roger Schell; and four brothers and a sister.

Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lane Funeral Homes Madasz Chapel, Brookfield, and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, Sharon.

Burial will be Brookfield Township Cemetery.
