Choosing her
parents 23rd wedding anniversary for her wedding date, the ceremony that took place Thursday afternoon in the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Delp, 503 Martin Street was one of the loveliest of early fall events, when their daughter, Wilma,
became the bride of John Leasure, Myrtle Avenue, Youngstown, O. The impressive single ring service was used, with the Dr.
C.B. Wingerd, pastor of the Central Presbyterian Church, Officiating at 2 o’clock in the presence of a large gathering of guest.
The couple had
as their attendants Bette Delp, sister of the bride, Harry Leasure, brother of the groom.
For her wedding
the bride was attired in a gown of white lace over white satin, cut on princess lines, with coronation collar. She wore gardenias
in her hair, and her arm bouquet was of Johanna Hill Roses. Her sister was gowned in aqua chiffon made toe length, and wore
gardenias in her hair, She carried a cluster of Sweetheart Roses.
A wedding dinner
was served following the exchange of vows, the dining room table being appointed with the occasion. A tiered cake with white
tapers at wither side formed the centerpiece, further developing a theme of pink and white.
Mr. and Mrs.
Leasure left later on a wedding trip through the eastern states. For traveling, the brides selected. For traveling the bride
selected a brown tweed suit. They will take up residence upon their return in their newly furnished home on Lexington
Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio.
The couple received
a large collection of wedding gifts. Since the news of their engagement has been made known, the bride has been feted at a
number of parties, receiving many gifts.
