CARL JACKSON SR. (William twin Schell Family)
Carl L. Jackson Sr., who belonged to Fraternal Order of Eagles and VFW Post 315, died the evening of June
9, 1997, in St. Francis Hospital. Born in New Castle on March 23, 1927, he was the son of Herbert Jackson and Jennie Moon
Jackson Rinne. They preceded him in death. He was married to the former Janet Clark. She preceded him in death on April
20, 1993. Mr. Jackson, 70, of Apt. 2, 606 Court St., was a former employee of U.S. Steel Corp., Warren, Ohio. He was
a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include two sons, Carl J. Jackson Jr. and Douglas Jackson, both
of New Castle; a daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Diana) Kuhn of Mt. Jackson; his siblings, David Michaels in Arkansas, Herbert Jackson
and Ruth ball, both in California, June Simballa in Ohio; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother,
Bob Michaels. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the service time at noon tomorrow at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home
Inc., 941 S. Mill St., Officiating will be the Rev. Denis Bupp. Burial will follow in Savannah Cemetery. Military rites will
be conducted by the New Castle Honor Guard.
