Mrs. M. VanFossan

Mrs. Margaret
VanFossan, 67, of 116 S. Walnut St., died at 8:25 a.m. yesterday in
Jameson
Memorial Hospital after an illness.
She was born
in Staten Island,
N.Y., March 18, 1907
to the late Martin Phillip and Elizabeth Regan Thornton. She owned and operated the VanFossan Dairy for then past27 years.
Mrs. VanFossan
was a member of Second United Presbyterian Church She was a past Queen of Dames of Malta Lodge. She was a committee woman
of the first precinct of the Third Ward of the Republican Party.
She was married
to Daniel Keith VanFossan who died Aug. 5, 1966.
She is survived
by two sons, Samuel Keith and Daniel James, both New Castle; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Hamill of Lakewood, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded
in death by two sons, William Kenneth and Phillip Thornton, and a brother, Martin Thornton.
Friends will
be received at the Edward A. DeCArbo and Son Funeral Home, S. Mill and E. Lutton
Streets, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, conducted by Dr. George Henderson
of the church.
Burial will
be in Oak Park Cemetery.
