Ruth Schell
Ruth E. Schell, 85, of 12 Auction Road, New Wilmington, Wilmington Township, Mercer County,
formerly of East Hazelcroft Ave., New Castle, died the afternoon of Jan. 2, 1998, in Jameson Hospital.
Born in New Castle
on Oct. 13, 1912, she was the daughter of Harry and Carlena Umlauf Mack.
She married James Henry Schell on May 18, 1935.
He survives in New Wilmington.
Mrs. Schell was a New Castle High School graduate and a member of First Alliance Church
in New Castle.
Survivors include two sons, James Richard Schell of New Castle and Charles LeRoy Schell of Hermitage; three
daughters, Mrs. Donald
(Ruth J.)Beck, Mrs. James (Marilyn J.) McCallister and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy E.) Heath, all
of New Wilmington; a sister, Katherine "Nancy" Mack of New Castle; a brother, Lindsey Mack of Ellwood City; 15 grandchildren;
17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and a brother.
Visitation
is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Smith Funeral Home, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington, where services
will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in the Fair Oaks Cemetery, New Wilmington.
