Archie LaVerne Watt
Army vet worked 40 years for Cooper Bessemer Corp.
Archie LaVern Watt, 745 Greenville Road, Mercer, died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday (1-13-96) in the hospital of
Sharon Regional Health System after a brief illness. He was 76. Mr. Watt was born Feb. 24, 1919, in Butler County to Lawrence
and Carrie Mae Ritenour Watt. He was a graduate of the former Harrisville High School, Harrisville and a World War II Army
veteran. He worked for 40 years as a record clerk in the stock room of the former Cooper Bessemer Corp., Grove City. He
was a member of the First Church of God, Grove City. Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Betty E.) Fleming, and Mrs.
Larry Reagle, both Mercer; a son, robert L. Watt, Pemberton, N.J.; two sisters, Geraldine Rohe, Rimersburg; and Mrs. Lloyd
(Marjorie) Hale , Slippery Rock, PA; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchilden. He was proceded in death by his wife,
the former Esther M. Rihel, whom he married Feb. 24, 1945 and who died May 31, 1994.
